THE GAZE OF THE LAGOSIAN MAN

THE GAZE OF THE LAGOSIAN MAN

The picture was taken while I was waiting inside for a public bus to fill up with passengers on the streets of Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos. The characters embedded in the picture are the notable "yellow danfo buses" of Lagos, a man trying to purchase drinks from the lady sitting on a stool, and a man staring into the void. His gaze is unnatural and perplexing. The idea of the plethora of thoughts behind the gaze is what makes the photograph so thought-prOvoking.
