Can you hear me now
In this project, I wanted to explore and merge the relationship between two cultural elements — the African talking drum and the bridal cloth. Both hold deep symbolic meanings: the drum represents voice, rhythm, and communication, while the bridal cloth signifies union, celebration, and tradition. During wedding days, the sound of drums fills the air — a loud, joyful time when culture, love, and identity intertwine. Through this work, I sought to capture that harmony between sound and silence, heritage and ceremony.
